3D solid calculator
Volume and surface area of solids, with a live 3D model.
Choose a shape and adjust its dimensions. Regular prisms and pyramids let you choose the number of base sides (3–256).
Drag the model to rotate it.

What do these numbers mean?
- Volume measures the space inside a solid; surface area measures its outside. Lengths in cm give volume in cm³ and surface area in cm². π ≈ 3.14159.
- In decimal numbers, commas separate thousands and a dot separates decimals: 1,234.5 = 1234 + 0.5. ×10^3 means multiply by 1000; ×10^-3 means divide by 1000. Display rounding can make tiny differences between shown totals.
Lengths are unitless — volumes follow the cube of your unit, areas its square.
